Lan Gao yoga, dance
Initially trained as a rhythmic gymnast and a classic Chinese dancer, Lan has profound awareness of how the life expresses itself through the movement of the body, breath and mind. She studied yoga at Shanghai Sports University where she got her B.A. and began to teach since 1998 as a certified instructor in China. She has been teaching yoga intensively in Toronto and Sault Ste Marie. Also as an award-winning radio broadcaster in China and Toronto, Lan committed herself into multicultural issues through dance performance and teaching Chinese language.
Lola Kennedy belly dance
Lola Kennedy has been belly dancing for over 10 years. She began belly dancing with a performance group, the Zaghereets, under the instruction of Katie Campbell in Sault Sainte Marie, Ontario. Lola has studied vocal performance most of her life. She studied voice, acting, tap, ballet, jazz, and theater dance at American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City and received a Bachelors in Communication from Lake Superior State University. She has performed in several leading roles and numerous other performances at the Soo Theatre Project and Sault Symphony. Lola thoroughly enjoys teaching all levels of dancers and loves sharing the joy of belly dancing. Belly dance is a wonderful community outlet for people of all shapes, sizes, ages, and walks of life to She teaches at Northern Life Yoga in Sault Sainte Marie, MI and Jade Wellness Studio in Sault Sainte Marie, Ontario. Recently Lola has completed her Master certification in Usui Reiki from Ann-Marie Caicco. She is currently enrolled in Tiffany Leneu’s Be the Love Yoga Teacher Training School.
